Blues music has been here for ages. Next to the piano ( my fav instrument ) and the guitar, one of the leading instruments in this music style is the bluesharp. A small little piece of wood and iron fitting right between your lips. Needless to mention the great blues harp artists who created the blues still known until today.
Bluesharps are used in many many blues styles, from the original country blues to the urban Chicago blues. Masters on the harp include Sonny Terry (who performed life long with Brownie McGhee - listen to his Fox Chase), Little Walter (the father of urban Chicago blues harp and member of Muddy Waters band), and some of them are still performing and touring until today: Boo Boo Davis, Charlie Musselwhite, Rod Piazza .. and my brother Luc...
Today, I ran into this great piece of hope: "I found the answer". An old gospel song recorded by Mahalia Jackson somewhere in the 50's-60's and recently added with Tramaine Hawkins' vocals. Song is available on Tramaine's album "Still".
What time couldn't do, is now possible with technology. Bringing two gospel stars from different decades together in one song ... I am sure Mahalia is listening and enjoying the warmth and enthusiasm of this performance.

The piano is the social instrument par excellence... drawing-room furniture, a sign of bourgeois prosperity, the most massive of the devices by which the young are tortured in the name of education and the grown-up in the name of entertainment.
