Legacy applications brought up to current runtimes and Java versions, dead dependencies pulled out, breaking changes caught before they ship. Without breaking what already works.
AI & Computer Vision
Granite Vision fine-tuning, on-prem GPU training, and detection pipelines that actually run outside a notebook.
Containers & DevOps
Docker, Kubernetes, CI pipelines and Home Assistant. Getting things off someone's laptop and into containers that run the same everywhere. If I have to do it twice by hand, it gets automated.
Writing & Knowledge Sharing
Digging into new features, breaking them on purpose, testing and validating, then writing it down so the next person doesn't have to. It's usually where the rest of this gets figured out first.

Hi, I'm Matthias.
I run eMBee IT. One person, which mostly means you talk to the person doing the work. I'm an IBM App Connect Enterprise specialist and an IBM Champion, and I've spent fifteen years getting enterprise systems to integrate, modernize and behave.
When I'm not untangling message flows I'm fine-tuning vision models on a GPU tucked under my desk, automating the house with Home Assistant, and writing about all of it. The good fixes are usually the boring ones.
